Unfortunately, in order to control shipping and handling charges and continue to offer the lowest prices in the industry, the company cannot sell items in increments other than full case quantities. Generally, orders for stock products received by 2:30 Eastern Standard Time (EST) will ship the same business day. The shipping time on orders for non-stock products varies. Your Sales Representative can give you an estimate of delivery time for non-stock items. Where necessary, orders can be split so that items that are in stock can ship immediately with the remaining items shipping as soon as they become available.
Depending on the size of the order, orders will either ship via United Parcel Service (UPS) Ground or vian an LTL carrier that services your delivery area. Special arrangements can be made to utilize a different UPS service (red, blue, etc.) or a customer designated LTL carrier. Additionally, products can be shipped freight-collect.
Generally, orders for stock items will arrive within one to five business days from the date the order is placed. Shipping times can vary depending on your location. For items that are not in stock, your Sales Representative can give you an estimated delivery date.
Product returns will only be accepted with a valid Returned Goods Authorization (RGA) number conspicuously displayed on the outside of the returned package. To obtain an RGA number, please contact your Sales Representative.
The main difference is direct thermal printing does not use a ribbon. Direct thermal printing does require the use of special heat sensitive substrate material. The printer head activates the heat sensitive coating on this material forming a black image. Thermal transfer printing uses a ribbon from which ink is transferred under heat and pressure to the substrate.
Ribbons are used only with thermal transfer labels not with direct thermal labels.
