What is difference between thermal transfer and direct thermal?Thermal transfer printing uses a ribbon and heat to transfer ink onto the label
surface, while direct thermal printing doesn't use a ribbon—instead, it uses
heat-sensitive labels that darken when heated by the printhead. Direct thermal
labels are ideal for short-term applications like shipping and barcoding, while
thermal transfer labels are better suited for long-term use or harsh
environments.

What is the difference between coated side out and coated side in ribbons? And how do I know which one I need?A: The difference between coated side out (CSO) and coated side in (CSI)
ribbons refers to which side of the ribbon has ink coating. CSO ribbons have the
ink on the outside of the roll, while CSI ribbons have the ink on the inside.
B: Most Zebra printers use CSO ribbons, while brands like SATO and Datamax typically
require CSI. To determine the correct type for your printer, check the user manual
or the manufacturer spec sheet.
How are fanfold labels different from roll labels?Fanfold labels are stacked rather than wound onto a core. They typically hold
more labels per stack than rolls, reducing changeovers and improving efficiency.
Fanfold labels also work in both desktop and industrial printers.
If I am tax exempt where do I submit my tax certificate? If you're tax exempt, you can email your tax exemption certificate directly to
your sales representative for the state you're shipping to. Once received and
approved, tax will be removed from future orders for that state. If you are tax
exempt in multiple states, send those additional tax certificates.
